Daffa Mangussara is a Jakarta-based filmmaker whose work blends spectacle with sincerity and challenges societal norms. He sees cinema not just as a reflection of reality, but a tool to expand it. Crafting new worlds, exploring possibilities, and amplifying unheard voices. His short film Tarian Terakhir (2023) won Grand Winner at the 18th Indonesian Film Festival in Australia. In 2024, he delved deeper into surrealism with Setan Bercelana (2025), a mystery set within a theater play where fiction unravels as a real corpse appears on stage.
